Friends of Sealth is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation established in 1999 for the purpose of supporting and enhancing the five A’s of CSHS: Academics, Athletics, Arts, Alumni, and Activities.

Funds for the foundation have been raised through membership dues, individual and corporate donations and various fundraisers. FOS is currently in the process of mounting a campaign to create an endowment for students and programs at Chief Sealth High School.

Chief Sealth High School has been recognized to be one of the few Seattle Public Schools that is still a "community" school. Most of the students live close to the school, many of the alumni live near the school, and many of the students are children of Sealth alumni. The potential is here for the community to rally around the positive activities going on at Sealth and for the students to reciprocate that pride and enhance the community.

In addition, in a time of decreasing budgets for the public schools, a financial need is apparent and the desire has been expressed by members of the community to not allow the students at Sealth to suffer because of a lack of resources. Please take a look around our site, and see how we are working to improve Chief Sealth High School for the betterment of the community.
