Chief Sealth International High School and the Friends of Sealth cordially invite you to help celebrate these upcoming events:
FUNDRAISOR FOR Baseball, PTSA and Performing Arts Group
The 2012 Baseball Season is fast approaching and so it is time to start talking about our fundraising efforts!
A bit of a change from previous years.....this year we are combining our auction efforts with the PTSA and Performing Arts group. The PTSA moved their auction to spring this year and rather than compete for donations and attendees, we agreed to work together to put on one HUGE fundraiser. The good news is that we can spread the volunteer effort to the entire Chief Sealth community, but in order for us to generate enough money to support all the groups we need your help!
The auction will be March 3rd and will be at the Hall at Fauntleroy from 5-11. That is the weekend that our baseball players will be at the Warm Beach team weekend so we are hoping that parents will be able to help out at the auction since we will not have the players available to work at the auction. We are looking for help with Check In, Check Out, Procurement of items, Sponsorship Team, Set Up the day of the auction, Spotters during the Live Auction, Runners during the silent and live auctions and also with Clean Up. Please let me know how you might like to help this year. If you volunteer you do not need to purchase a ticket unless you wish to have a seat/dinner during the Live Auction part of the event. - Volunteers can have a bid number and bid on items if desired. Attached are the forms for tickets, donations, donation wish list, and also a Sponsorship form. Please note that tickets are $50 if purchased by Feb. 10th and $60 after that date. No tickets will be sold at the door. So, don't delay - get your tickets today!!!
This year we are looking for businesses to sponsor our event so if you own a business and would like to help in this way or if you think your employer might be interested, please let me know. Talk to your friends, neighbors and family and see if they would like to attend or be a sponsor of our event too! I'd be happy to speak with any one regarding this. In order for us to raise the kind of money that we have in past years for our baseball program, we'll need to raise around $60,000 - the money will be split between Athletics, PTSA, and Performing Arts (band, choir, drama, etc). I know that's a lot of money, but if we all help out, we can do it! But, we need your help! I do not have email address for many of the new baseball players for this years team nor from the other sports teams, so please, please, please pass this info along to others that you know!
Also, you can check out the website at: https://csptsa.ejoinme.org/Auction2012
You can order tickets online, make donations online, and once we start to receive items you'll be able to see what will be auctioned. We are asking families for donations of items again this year as well as desserts for the Dessert Dash.
Additionally, our baseball team will have their Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction to raise additional funds to support our program later this Spring. I am looking for a group of parents willing to help organize and coordinate this event. Coach P will get us the date of the event asap. Please let me know how you would like to help for this fund raiser too.
Thanks in advance for all your help! I'm looking forward to a successful baseball season full of good play, good sportsmanship and lots of fun! (And, no injuries!!!).
All Chief Sealth families will be receiving an invitiation and the donation forms for the auction in the mail later this week, but I wanted to get this info to you asap. Again, please let me know how you would like to help with this year's fund raising activities!

The Auction Team is extending the early bird ticket pricing of $50 per person ($500 for a table of 10) through Saturday 2/18/2012 to ensure that several parent groups who received ticket purchase information late have the opportunity to purchase their tickets at the early bird price.
For those individuals who have already purchased tickets at the regular price of $60 per person, an Auction Team member will be contacting you this week.
In addition, we are pleased to announce the addition of musical entertainment to this fun-filled evening at the Hall at Fauntleroy on March 3, 2012. You will be able to enjoy Brazilian choro music performed by Choro Tocando. Taking elements ranging from European dance forms to African-rooted beats, this popular music was the first to express the many cultures that meet at the crossroads that is Brazil. It sometimes evokes sounds of ragtime or gypsy jazz or samba which it precedes.
We look forward to seeing you on March 3rd so Buy Your Tickets Today! Visit the Auction website to purchase tickets, make a donation, and to check out the catalog of auction items donated so far! https://csptsa.ejoinme.org/Auction2012
Contact Leslie Menstell for volunteer opportunities and Bottles of Wine for the Wine Grab, an exciting new addition to our auction! We especially need 3 volunteers to help with the data entry that evening. Our software system is very easy to learn!
Sandy Sanford has volunteered to coordinate the Dessert Dash for us. We need at least 28 desserts. The Dessert Dash benefits the Senior Class in keeping ticket prices low for Prom and Grad Night. Contact Sandy at sandysanford@comcast.net if you are able to donate a dessert!
