Scholarships
The Friends of Sealth scholarship program is for qualifying seniors at Chief Sealth International High School.
The program identifies and honors exceptionally able high school students who have made a positive impact on the community.
The Board of the Friends of Sealth handles all aspects of the selection of winners and the administration of their awards.
Eligibility
Eligibility for the Friends of Sealth scholarship is based on the following criteria:
be a senior at Chief Sealth International High School year,
attend a minimum of four classes each semester of their senior year at the school
enroll full time in an accredited college, university or technical school next year
have a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.0.
be a U.S. citizen or a Permanent U.S. resident in the process of becoming a citizen
Selection
All Friends of Sealth scholarship applications will be thoroughly reviewed and given equal consideration by the Friends of Sealth scholarship committee. The scholarship recipients will be determined on a competitive basis and the following criteria will be considered:
Cumulative academic records, and the rigorousness of courses completed.
extracurricular activities and contributions to the school and community.
Letter of recommendation.
Quality and content of the applicant’s essays.
All winners will be notified prior to any public announcement that may be made about recipients.
